The T Shirt commemorates a student at UVA murdered by a drunk former boyfriend while wearing her lacrosse team shirt with the number 1 on it.
The story is a horrifying one.

Growing up in NYC you hear this taunt a million times before you even know what it means. Hmmm. What does it mean exactly? OK. I get it now.
But these phrases lose almost all connection to their original meaning, and become a snowball of invective and derision tossed out by people struggling to prevail in a hostile world.
