BMCC, Borough of Manhattan Community College is a second chance school that enrolls 25,000 students in two years of college study to prepare them for a real college.  It’s motto is “Start Here. Go Anywhere.”   Just under 1/3 of the student body graduates.

Cheap Online Colleges ranks it as the 3rd best community college in NYC.

It’s most prominent alum is Queen Latifah.

Stuyvesant is the most prominent public high school in the nation.
Among the alumni are Thelonius Monk, Lucy Liu and James Cagney –and 4 Nobel Prize winners.
