[Michigan is our 1st or 2nd rated state public [state owned] university. The older couple have worked hard to gain their status –he is wearing the cap, and the colors of his university, not sure about her medallion. The young ones are dressed to express their individuality, and expressing the joy of their prosperous, and free, moment in time. There are as many Americas as there are Americans, but this is a much more accurate picture of our country, for the majority, than certain more famous and dramatic photo essays.]
