Never judge another person before you walk miles in their shoes, it has been said. What it is like to end a 30 year drought of a walkable supermarket cannot be understood by those who have not experienced it.

We have all, all of us who have lived any time in Hudson Square, been overwhelmed and transformed by an irrational love for the new Trader Joe’s. To have a large supermarket of any kind in walking distance brings us to a new state of being. Wednesday we passed by on our way home, and we decided, for no reason, to go inside just to enjoy the experience once again, and to buy nothing. We left with $50 worth of groceries!
